Work one-on-one with your attorney
As my client, you will work one-on-one with me. California is a no-fault divorce state. A no-fault divorce states that each party has in some way contributed to the dissolution of the marriage. Rather than litigating about grounds for the divorce, the parties can move forward to resolving issues such as the following:
Child custody: For parents experiencing divorce, I provide compassionate and straightforward help to reach favorable child custody and visitation schedules.
Child support: Child support in California is determined by state guidelines. I can answer any questions you may have about how the decision is reached and handle any modification issues that arise.
Spousal support: I handle spousal support issues involving temporary and permanent support.
Property division: California is a community property state. Property, assets and debts that were acquired during the marriage will be divided during the divorce proceedings.
I am certified as a Family Law Specialist by the California State Board of Legal Specialization. I can take time to educate you on what to expect during the divorce. This will allow you to make decisions that are in your best interest.
Has there been domestic violence in the family?
Domestic violence issues are handled on a case by case basis. My firm recognizes that, at times, allegations of domestic violence may be used to leverage decisions in a divorce case. We understand the sensitivity of these issues and believe your safety and your children's safety is important. We help with DVPA (Domestic Violence Prevention Act) restraining orders, EPOs (Emergency Protective Orders), kick out orders and supervised visitation orders.
